Youth Communication Chicago Mission Statement
Youth must be heard and understood.  The expression and sharing of their experiences, concerns, and solutions is critical to their ability to shape their present and future worlds.  Youth Communication provides Chicago area youth with mass media vehicles to voice their ideas.

WELCOME TO YOUTH COMMUNICATION CHICAGO
At Youth Communication Chicago we believe in the future of our youths and the future they will create.  We strive to help Chicagoland youths let their voices be heard and help them create change in the world we live in.

With 33 years under our belt, YCC has supported many youths in becoming leaders in their fields of work.  Many of our alumni have gone on to creating other youth programs in the city as well as work in media, communication and government jobs.

Our program not only helps students succeed, but also teaches them life skills for them to use in any career they choose.  Our students look to the horizon seeking higher education and learning opportunities for themselves.

Come and explore our site where you will get to know our organization and our students.  See some of the work we've produced as well as upcoming events such as our YCC Journalism Forum series, which occurs every two weeks.  Each forum has a new presenter with new ideas to share about journalism and media.  Read through our new e-Zine, which we mail out to students, teachers and media professionals.

With the help and support of the community, we are able to continue our work in teaching students the value of their words.  We appreciate any support you can give, and we invite you to participate in any events or projects we have in the future. Click on our "Volunteer" or "Donate" links to see how you can support YCC.

Thank you for all your support!
